Camille Piani

I joined Menneh Legal in December 2025 as a law student, alongside the actualisation en droit program I am completing at Université de Montréal. Before arriving, I spent a year at Caisse d'Épargne Côte d'Azur, within its Bespoke Financing unit, and three years in a judicial officers' practice.

My focus is contract law and civil litigation. At Caisse d'Épargne Côte d'Azur, the Bespoke Financing unit structured transactions case by case: every clause was weighed and every ambiguity hunted down. I kept from it a drafting and review discipline that I apply to every file.

My three years with judicial officers showed me what becomes of a judgment once rendered: what is actually recovered, and what stays on paper. I therefore approach litigation with enforcement in mind from the outset.

My French legal training and my common law diploma allow me to read the same problem through two legal traditions, a real advantage in Quebec, where the two meet constantly.

When I work on your files

• I bring rigour to contract drafting and review
• I analyze each situation through both a civil law and a common law lens, which widens the range of available options
• I think about enforcing a judgment from the very start of a dispute, because a right you cannot enforce is not yet a result
• I look for the workable solution as much as the correct one

Off duty

• I enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes
• I dance, which remains the best way for me to switch off
• When I travel, I am as interested in a place's history as in what it has become: understanding where somewhere comes from changes the way you experience it
